I was lucky to see Eric Clapton in San Francisco at the ARMS Concert, a benefit, only time Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck shared the same stage, it was held at New Years in 82. That stage had more talent, mainly British musicians, the benefit was for Ronnie, one of the original Small Faces who got MS. I almost forgot, the main drummer was Ringo.

Ich habe schon einige Bands live sehen dürfen. Life of Agony hat mir in schwierigen Zeiten geholfen und hatte massiven Einfluss auf mich. Ich hatte immer wieder Gänsehaut bei vielen Songs. Der Sound war richtig gut und man hat gemerkt, wieviel echten Spaß und Leidenschaft alle Musiker hatten. L.o.A. Fans sind scheinbar sehr treu und das hat Mina ja sehr gewürdigt. Die Neunziger sind lange her, deshalb habe ich sehr gehofft, dass sie nach dem klingen was ich von Life of Agony kenne... Aber das haben sie in der allerersten Minute klargestellt: sie klingen eher noch besser. Brachial. Gealtert wie richtig guter Wein. Und das in BS. Danke, dass ich das mit allen Anwesenden erleben durfte! Grüße

Ah, yes, George's classic, Gimme Love (Gimme Piece on Earth)! It's funny, I always considered this to be George's one true Christmas song, even though it really works all year round. Lyrically and musically, it just always took me back to Christmastime, certainly more than Ring Out the Old (Ring In the New), which always came across as more of a New Year's song for me. Eric Clapton, as expected, does a wonderful job playing it here. And best of all, he's looking and sounding great! It's also great to see George's song, Dhani Harrison, playing up there with him.
